Interesting Portals

NetVibes
This portal feels similar to PageFlakes in many ways but I love their gallery. They also have a feature whre certain chrome elements only become visible when you hover over the web part.

Xtra
A New Zealand news portal. I especially liked the content rotator web part at the top of the middle row. Seems like a nice way to allow a user to browse through data.

Codezone Coolness

I cranked open Visual Studio 2005 today and ran a search for MapPoint.  Look what came back as the first result - Dave's MapPoint sample from ProjectDistributor.  Cool!

How do you make the search working ? I am using beta 2 and it can't search online (I have two different installations), and the internet connection is working.

I just do: Help / Search ...and then type in my search phrase. Actually, if you open the Search window and go: Tools/Options, you should see all of the online communities listed there and some other options for searching. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Laurent, I just have the public version of Beta 2. Version 8.0.50215.44. When you open search by doing Help|Search do you see 4 results tabs in the Search window titled "Local Help", "MSDN Online", "Codezone Community" and Questions"?
